Moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea is associated with subclinical myocardial injury and impaired hemodynamics in pulmonary hypertension patients

sleep3062-fig-0001.sml

• Sleep apnea has a high prevalence in patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH).• PH patients with moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) had a higher pulmonary vascular resistance and lower cardiac index.• Moderate-to-severe OSA is an independent factor to determine serum troponin T level.• Moderate-to-severe OSA is associated with increased subclinical myocardial damage and abnormal hemodynamics in PH patients.
