Response to the Letter to the Editor re: Stathopoulos et al. Injuries to the head and neck in Homer's Odyssey

We were pleased to see the comments by Koutserimpas and Samonis about our work on the injuries described by Homer in the Odyssey. Konsolaki et al1 had initially described two cranial injuries mentioned in the Odyssey but as we said these are only a brief reference and it is our impression that the intention of the authors was to refer to a long period of time and not particularly to Homer's poems.
